Spark 8 Design & Display Review
Regarding the appearance, it has a screen that is the same size as the earlier Spark 7 and a dewdrop notch. But everything else looks mirror-like glossy when viewed from the sides and from the back. The fingerprint scanner is housed inside the camera module, which is now wider than the centre of the phone.
There is no doubting that the Spark 8’s rear is attractive, and while I don’t like the large amount of text there, the shiny finish is still the thing that really turns me off. Please don’t misunderstand me; glossy finishing can look good and draw attention in some circumstances. However, this has the drawback of being able to pick up finger smudges quite easily.
One of the primary areas where the Spark 8 fell short of the Spark 7 was the battery section. This is due to the fact that it uses a 5000mAh battery as opposed to the 6000mAh battery found in the earlier model. However, even with it, the Spark 8’s battery life is still fantastic. If numbers matter to you, you can rely on this device to last for a full 2-days of moderate use. However, there is only a 10W standard charger included if you run out of power.
Spark 8 Hardware And Software Review
Hardware:
While the Spark 8P features a 1080p resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio, the Spark 8 features a 720p resolution. The Spark 8 features a 6.52-inch display, while the Spark 8P has a 6.6-inch display. The MediaTek Helio P22 SoC found in the Spark 8 is replaced by the Helio G35 SoC in the Spark 8P. While the Spark 8 has 2 GB of RAM, the Spark 8P has 4 GB of RAM. While Spark 8P has 64/128 GB of storage, Spark 8 comes with 64 GB of storage. A microSD card can be inserted into every device. Both gadgets have 5000 mAh batteries and 10 watts of charging power is supported.
Software:
The Spark 8 and Spark 8P both run HiOS 7.6 and Android 11 (Go edition), with the Spark 8 running the normal version of Android 11. Peek Proof, Voice Changer, Phone Cloner, and Document Correction are all included in the HiOS 7.6. The Spark 8’s screen is identical to that of the older, original Spark 7. The device sports a 6.52-inch screen with 720 x 1600 pixels and a dewdrop notch on the top. The panel has a refresh rate of 60Hz and 269 pixels per inch. It is sufficiently light for viewing indoor and bedtime entertainment, and the colour reproduction is excellent.
Spark 8 Camera Specs Review
The 16MP primary camera on the Spark 8 is teamed with an f/1.8 + f/2.0 dual-lens system. The camera has a number of shooting options, including 1080P Time-lapse, Slow Motion, AR Shot, Smile Capture, and AI Portrait. It has an 8MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls. Tecno made the decision to place the Spark 8’s fingerprint scanner inside the rear camera plate, in contrast to earlier Spark models. Thankfully, both the face ID and the sensor are reliable in 8 out of 10 attempts. To help with low face identification, the display can fire additional brightness in place of the frontal LED lights.
Since the previous Spark 7 shares the same camera hardware and software as the Spark 8, we are again making reference to it here. As a result, the rear of the device has a 16-megapixel primary lens and a QVGA AI sensor, while the front only has an 8-megapixel camera.
